The T.E.C.H Program

A year of housing, food, documents, classes and a paycheck

A fully funded residential program for adults 18 and older. We pay for it out of a corporate care line inside our hospital contracts, so it costs participants nothing. It does not matter where you came from, what your situation is or who you are. We do not discriminate, and we will find a plan that helps either way.

See if you qualify

Four quick questions. Nothing is stored and nothing is sent anywhere. The only requirement is that you are 18 or older.

How the year works

Four stages, in order

Select any stage to open the full detail.

Recruitment and housing

We fund the whole thing, and you live in your own private apartment within walking distance of campus.

  • Recruitment runs through community centers, youth shelters and regional career programs
  • One full year of free housing in a private, keycard apartment style building
  • Your own room, your own bathroom, your own key, a short walk from the main building
  • The walk is lit, camera covered and patrolled by Campus Security around the clock
  • Funded by a corporate care line item inside our hospital enterprise contracts

30-day document assistance

HR and legal fund and coordinate the paperwork most programs expect you to already have.

  • Birth certificate ordering, fully paid
  • Replacement Social Security card
  • State photo ID
  • Case workers handle the appointments, forms and fees with you
  • During this pre-employment month you handle no corporate systems of any kind

Stabilization schedule

The first month is for recovery, not performance.

  • Weeks 1 and 2: zero attendance required, settle into your apartment
  • Free food courts, corporate clothing and hygiene supplies from day one
  • Weeks 3 and 4: document recovery, onboarding tours and electronic meal cards
  • Nurse station and case workers available the whole time

Payroll and campus operations

In month two you sign a workforce contract and start getting paid.

  • Formal workforce contract once documents arrive and background checks clear
  • You join payroll as campus support staff
  • Paid operational duties: stock and inventory, delivery logistics, office assistance
  • Classes and certification study continue alongside the job

House rules

What we expect while you are here

The program is generous and the rules are simple. Select any rule to read the detail.

The five-day transition protocol

WomiTech balances strict rules with genuine empathy. A substance violation deactivates keycards and moves the participant into a Transition Room near the front gate, never an immediate street eviction. Over five days, case workers deliver a Next Steps packet with direct placement leads for outside entry-level jobs and coordination with partner shelters and housing programs. Escorted visits to the program director or case worker are available on request. On day five, WomiTech provides a free bus pass or rideshare credit to the participant's next destination.

Parent and child accommodation

Education, certification and graduation

WomiTech fully funds academic classes, technical training and CompTIA or Cisco certification exams, with daily instruction in math, English, financial literacy, life skills, coding classes and foundational cybersecurity concepts. Graduates choose between a permanent full-time role at WomiTech or placement into an outside hospital, clinic or corporation through our career network. Participants on payroll hold a two-year post-certification service commitment; an acquiring employer recruiting earlier pays a standardized $2,000 graduation placement fee that funds the next incoming cohort. After one full year, WomiTech covers the first month's rent on independent housing.
